ACARIYA ACADEMY, MALAYSIA is running special holiday edu-camps for summer and winter holidays for learners from 9 to 18 years old.

Coming soon:
acariya, 2nd Holiday Edu-Camp will be held from November 30 - December 18, 2009.
In this programme, we are offering a 3-level literacy programme with the theme "AROUND THE WORLD" targetted at improving a learner's core proficiency and competency in the 4 basic skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Learning will be further enhanced with the introduction of "viewing skill" as a complementary skill to the existing 4 main skills. Seating arrangement will be varied accordingly to cater for the diversified approaches of teaching and activities. Mini-workshops will be introduced to encourage hands-on experience to build confidence in aural-oral skills and promoting healthy teamwork and effective peer learning.
Learners will do a placement test to gauge their proficiency level before being divided into their respective groups. Learners will be given ongoing reviews (mini-assessments) during this period to gauge their progress. Early intervention in the form of mini-tutorials or lectures will be held should the need arises so that quality education which is our forte can be sustained. By the end of the camp, learners will do an online assessment on their overall achievement and be awarded a certificate of achievement.

Dr Ali believes that education is the agent of change and hopes to combine motivation with learning to make teaching a more endearing profession.
Ms Loy In Lee has known her destiny since young. Yes, teaching is in her blood as she boldly took upon teaching English from Kindergarten right through to High School. She has taught in all types of Malaysian schools; government and private: independent school, smart school and also international school. She has been teaching for as long as she can remember. Stepping into the shoes as the Principal of Acariya Academy, she is the mastermind behind its most popular literacy course fondly known as a-ELEP (acariya-English Literacy Enrichment Programme). She has integrated both her skills and professional experience into designing the courses offered here in Acariya with her team. She holds a Bachelor of Education (TESL) from Universiti Malaya and has been involved with some teacher training both locally and in NingXia, China. She firmly believes that education is a means to an end of fulfilling one’s self destiny for knowledge is power!
Mrs Kaoosji is a very experienced and senior teacher. She has undergone her Montessori courses in teacher training and has dedicated her life to teaching. It has been 30 years and she is still passionate about it. At present, she is teaching in Sayfol International School.
